I am the proud owner of an original manufactured 91/30 PU and have been running mostly surplus ammo through it. While the rifle is fairly accurate, I know there's only so much I can get out of 50 year old soviet surplus. I was thinking of starting to do my own loads, but have been finding it difficult to find .311 ammo. I HAVE found some from budget shooter supply, but it says its for 303. I was wondering if I'm gonna run into issues running this in my rifle, either in terms of reliability, safety or accuracy. Thanks

I have been loading mine with anything from .310 123grain sst .312 150 grain ssts and .311 180 grain speer hotcores and so far the the speer shoots the best at about moa and the 123 ssts are next best at just over moa, I haven't really fine tuned my loads yet

No harm in using the fatter bullets. If they are lead core they wil size down easily. Start with the START loads and work up from there, looking for accuracy.

I tried the 312 180 round nose. They shot well but would not feed from the mag.
