Reloading 7mm PRC info and my findings so far

I got the reloading items for 7mm prc but I don’t know which headspace gauge to use for measuring head space.
Anyone here knows about it? and also if you have reloading data for it that will be great.

I am thinking to reload 175 gr LRAB with H1000

I used factory 180 ELDM bullets in brand new gun and was able to hit gongs from 100 meters to all the way to 800 meters In my gun it was giving me average if 2891 fps instead of written on box velocity of 2975

I am using Browning x Bolt Speed with 24” barrel with muzzle break in 7mm PRC

The ammo manufacturer may have used a longer barrel,etc for testing, this would probably account for the extra speed

From what I've seen the velocities for most magnum cartridges are listed as using a 26" barrel. You probably lose 25-35fps/inch with your 24" barrel, which could account for some of the difference. Depending on how many rounds you've fired the barrel could still speed up a bit too.
I use Hornady comparators, they work fine. You can get the bullet and headspace (brass) comparator kits from Cabela's, you should have both for reloading.
