Bear with the new guy here fellas:

Can a standard neck size die such as the lee collet die be used to reload AI rounds?

I'm thinking of 223AI in a bolt rifle.

You should be able to use universal neck die, and a universal seater. Hornady makes both, as do others. I would suspect that the collet die wouldn't work for that application. Most of the AI dies aren't that expensive though you can expect a special order and longish wait.

Collet die will work...So will the Lee seater

I neck size for my .223AI with the Lee FLR die backed off a bit.

Works fine!

Get a set of Lee 223 Ackley Improved dies from Higginson's and use those....$50 at your door.

and don't use nickle plated cases as they tend to split upon fireforming....

The lee collet 223 die will work. You can also seat using the reg. seating die. I doubt you will need to FL size for several firings but the AI FL die would be handy.
