Reloading bench plans

It also has to be locked, and have a big orange sign on it that says "OMG EXPLOSIVES!"

Not to mention a crapload of other totally arbitrary specifications designed to make the universe a safer place.

OMG stands for "Oh My God" of course ;-)

I thought the locks were only needed for ammunition, not component but I'll find the complete description and will modify my setup since I don't want my IP address to be traced and have 4-5 black Suburban if front of the house tomorrow morning ;-))

thanks for the infos

The BIGGEST exposure is primers next to powder.

The regs are in the sticky and on a government web site.
Here is the distilled version:

storage and possession of propellant powders

possession and personal use
Propellants not exceeding 10 kg in their approved canisters, caddies and kegs may be stored on residential property, providing they are in a locked substantial magazine that is kept clean and used exclusively for propellants. The outside of the magazine must be marked with the word “explosive.” no flammable or highly combustible material may be stored in or near the magazine.
--------------------------------------------
percussion caps (primers):

Storage and possession possession for own use

a reasonable number of percussion caps (primers) for one's own use, and not for sale, may be kept on residential or other property, out of reach of children and away from heat and substances of a flammable nature. Such storage must be separated from propellant storage in a locked container or receptacle marked “explosives.”

I didn't write the law, I am just acutely aware of it !!

I heard it has to be in wood without metal hardware ?

Same plans I used but changed a couple of things!

I like women to wiggle....not my work bench :D ROFL !!
Yea, it's a little overkill for a reloading bench, but it'll be used for carpentry and various other things as well, so I decided to go big and do it once. It'll have to be sold with the house if we ever move again. There's no hope of getting it out of my shop, much less up the stairs. I gave it the acid test today as well. That would be grabbing on the side of it and shaking it with all the might that my 200ish lbs could muster. Solid as a rock :D

I took the clamps off today and stained it. You can really see where the adhesive squeezed out of the joints when I put the screws in. Here's a couple more pics before I mount the presses, vise and electrical. It's going to hurt a little drilling the first few holes. :( I put a 300 win mag case in the center to give some kind of definition of size.......well....it's exactly 4 feet by 8 feet. 34 inches from the floor to the table surface. On the underside, the lowest point where you'd put your legs under is 28 3/4" and from the floor to the top of my knee when seated is 23". It's nice and comfy to sit at or stand in front of. More pics to come as things are added.

The press family has been mounted :D

Also, if it helps any Edmonton Gunnutz....the trays in the 2nd and 3rd pics are on sale at Ikea. Look in the scratch and dent section to the right of the cash registers as you're coming up to the exit. They had a skid of them there 2 days ago. You get 2 of the first tray and 1 of the second in a box for $5.00 !!!! Yes...five whole dollars !!!! I'll start a new threat about it to make sure everybody sees it.
Happy New Year everyone !!!!

Just "sort of" finished moving mine today.

Got another press so needed more space, looks a little tight but works pretty darn fine for me. Now just need some overhead lighting and some 3x5 hardwood (what the legs are made of) to finish up the project, then I need to sit down and churn out some 9mm lead and .223 target rounds.
