My future gun/reloading room (6'x11') has the far wall that opens up to the furnace room, big closet style with 2 folding doors.

Any problems with a reloading room in proximity to a furnace?

my furnace is almost against my back in my loading room. i have loaded 10 of thousands of rounds with nor problem. however i would recommend being a tad careful when using aerosols close to the furance. possible fire hazard there and i have seen paint spread through out a whole house when spray painting close to a furnace.

The only con I could see is the noise from the furnace fan running right beside you. No danger...just a bit annoying.

I have my back to the furnace as well, no biggie. Sometimes I just shut it off for the peace and quiet, sometimes I leave it on so I can't hear the kids running around.:)

doing reloading that close to a furnace I'd be more concerned about the draft effects or movements of air currents while you're trying to get whatever scale you use to balance up. I suppose the beamers are less sensitive to this.

Where one of my benches is located I had to tape shut the heating vent. Evertime the furnace came on there'd be a large movement of air under the vent... then I found a small lever along the length of this pipe that had a handle you rotate 180 degrees and that effectively seals the discharge along this pipe...

then I found out that you can unbalance your heating system by messing too much with which rooms get heat and which don't...

Look at it this way. If you wanted to do the "Redneck Speed Duct Cleaning" job, you'd have everything you need really handy. Just fill the heat exchanger with powder and primers, turn the furnace back on and wait for it :D LOL!!!!
