this particular cop didnt know much about the firearms laws.
it was a little scary just because i immediately got the feeling that he was extremely uneasy with the situation
i went back to the same area to recover all the bullets from the log. i was amazed that the barnes bullets penitrated nearly 18" through the log. the winchester powerpoints made it on average about 6"
I conditionally accept that there are cops out there who can spin circles around what I think I know about firearms laws if you can prove that you can read my mind or have some other means of knowing what I think I know about firearms laws.
But seriously, it's good to hear that there are some cops out there who do know what they are. Thank-you for answering my question. And to be clear, I don't have any problems with the way the officer conducted himself in this story. At least he was big enough to admit when he didn't know something.
