Reloading clinics

Hi,

I unknowingly transgressed the CGN rules by placing details of my courses in the Reloading section, and the post was removed, but not because my course was full. I have written an appology.

RSA1 is the guy who does it, but based on the fact that the thread was removed, he is likely full up. max per class is 5.

That is too bad. No matter how much I read as a beginner reloader, I would really feel much more comfortable doing a little more hands on with an experienced person prior to perhaps making a dangerous mistake. There is not a lot of hands on courses that I have seen. I took one at Mil-Cun but it dealt with rifle only. Then a few months later I bought my first press, a Dillon 650 and was still lost setting up for pistol reloading. The ABC's of Reloading was a good start but hands on and being able to work up and shoot some loads with an experienced hand would be extreamly benificial. Thankfully there is this thread where us rookies can ask out idiotic questions

I would assume that you would be okay to post your classes in the Training and Classes thread

I attended one of the classes and will attend the other when I get back into Canada. Learned a lot, had a blast (not literally ;) ), coming back for more and not askin' for my money back :)

I attended Peet's rifle reloading class today and I thought it was absolutely excellent. I've never reloaded before although I have been researching the subject at length on the internet. It was great to start off under the supervision of someone and load my first cartridges. Peet's instruction was clear; he's quite obviously a teacher in addition to a firearm enthusiast.

Lunch provided by Peet's wife was fantastic as well.

I highly recommend that if you are new to reloading you spend the time at Peet's class. I found it was well worth the $100 and the 90 minute drive it took me to get there.
