Reloading for 356 Winchester

Looking for dies for a 356 Winchester
Was told that 358 Winchester dies will work as long as you use the 356 shell holder. Anyone have any experience with this.

That is correct. Same as using 308 dies for the 307

Yes. In fact you can use 308 cases with expanded necks. They just don't extract properly.

But only use the 356 load data.

LEE has dies for the 358 Win, #90797 and use a #3 shellholder, #90520.

.358 win can be reloaded with expanded .308 casings, not sure about using them for .356 loads

I use my 358 win dies all the time for my Winchester in 356 Win. I have a lot of 356 stamped brass but have also necked up about 100 307 win brass. I simply run new 307 brass through the sizer, load and shoot. Haven’t really noticed any accuracy differences. My 356 Win is a consistent 1.5 MOA gun with 200 grain loads. It’s one of the rifles I’d never sell. I bought it with less than a box of rounds down it in about 2017.
Are you shooting a Winchester or the rarer Marlin?

Actually I have not purchased one yet. I am just trying to get the dies and brass so I am good to go when I do find one. Have the 307 and the 375 so would like to get the 356 to have all three.
