Reloading for a 6.5 creedmore

H4350 and Hornady 140 grain ELDM for the win in my case. CCI BR2 primers with Alpha brass. Hornady brass even shoots about as good. I shoot it 1000 yards almost weekly with ease. Still sub MOA at 1000. Hitting a 3" orange sticky is fairly common at 1000 on nice evenings.

I haven’t tried many different projectiles but the consensus I drew when I did the research last year was by far H4350

H4350 gave the best results in both my 6.5CM's.
I've tried Hybrid 100V, Varget, and IMR4451 (very limited testing with 4451) and H4350 is the most consistent in my rifles.

I've found most projectiles work well with H4350 in the creed.

Hornady 140 BTHP, 147 ELD-M, and 140 ELD-M have all run really well in my rifle with the best accuracy being with the 140 ELD-M and less tricky to load than the 147.

140 RDF ran alright as well but I regularly get flyers that'll throw the group to a much larger 1-1.5 MOA when 4 out of 5 are into 1/2 MOA.

If not shooting past 1K I'd give the Hornady 140 BTHP a serious look.

Let's keep this thread going :).

New 6.5 Creedmoor shooter here (in a Stag10). I just finished a box of Hornady American Gunner 147g, it shot well. I'm now going to reload the Hornady brass from the American Gunners. I have a pound of H4350 and a box of Hornady ELD Match 140gr bullets to start. I'll keep everyone posted.

New to the 6.5cm(tikka tac a1) and am going to get into reloading. Question about the difference between the brass using small and large primers. Which primers do you suggest for each one and does the powder load change for a small vs large primer at all? Thanks in advance

From what I gather, small rifle brass may last longer, easier to find primers, large rifle brass has better ignition in cold weather, is harder to find primers, small primers may be softer. I have only used large rifle brass.

I may be the odd man out but I like Sierra MK 150 with H4831SC. Staball 6.5 also worked well but the H4831 gave me a touch better velocity. I recently picked up some Berger 153.5 that I want to try once the weather warms up. What can I say… I love the heavies
