Hi,
I would like to buy a Nagant 1895 revolver but am worried about ammo.
I know that Tradex sells brass and bullets but do you know where i could find dies?
plus how do you reload it since the bullet is seated into the brass.
i will be using a Lee 50th anniversary reloading kit

thanks in advance

Tradex did have dies if not order them directly from Lee Bullets and brass from Tradex Bullets are about 98gr I load over 6.2gr H110 Nice light load and cases pretty well fall out of cylinder when gun tipped up

Mine is fairly accurate at least as accurate as I can hold with the 15 pound trigger pull. I have some cases that have been reloaded 5 times but with the severe working of the case at the case mouth I think that I may have to trim them back and then seat the bullett flush as opposed to inside the case. I dont know how this will change accuracy as the case wont seal as well on firing as the cylinder moves forward to the barrel but I am going to try as the brass dictates

i read from the internet that the Fiocchi brass is easy to crack from the case mouth.

also, some other people form the brass from 32-20 brass. i know it's a bit shorter; what are the downsides?

do the Lee dies Tradex is selling form the 7.62 nagant brass from 32-20 brass?

I have not tried the 32-20 brass as I bought a bag of brass from tradex (great to deal with by the way) but from my experience any brass regardless of make or manufacture is going to have the case mouths wear out from the constant sizing and crimping in a nagant. Now I havent had it happen yet but I am sure it is coming soon . Brass cant be worked forever but then I will try the trimming method and see what happens.. As with any reloading just pay close attention to all the details and it will all go smoothly

After a quick check I do believe the Lee dies will work on the 32-20 brass however check the Lee website as I would not want you or anyone to purchase dies not able to do their intended job on my account

Hi Rob, sorry for stalking you :D, but i noticed that you mentioned on another thread you loaded 8 gr of H-110...but which load do you prefer? 8 gr or 6.2 gr? also, can you make fireball show out of this? :p thanks!
