Reloading for a Remington 760

Tiriaq is right, the Lee Loader only neck sizes. Full length sizing might be needed for a pump rifle. Some reloaders will use small base sizing dies for ammo used in pumps and autos.

The Lee Loader is a gateway drug. That feeling you get when you load your 1f brass and shoot it the first time is marvelous, and you never look at factory ammo the same again. After a couple cycles those Lee Loader reloads won't chamber any more, and you discover you need to full length size. Then comes a press and dies, and scales, and tumblers, and on and on.

The Lee kits are great for someone who only shoots a few rounds a year and doesnt want to get heavy into the reloading rabbit hole. As for hunting loads i only use new or once fired brass, I have small base dies but never found them that effective for me some will disagree that's OK to each his own. To be honest with some of the premium ammo avaiiable I don't load much for my 760's nowdays my last four moose have been taken with premium factory loads they shoot so well that it is hard to duplicate their performance.

I started down the rabbit hole with a LEE Loader for my 30-30's. From there it has ballooned to a half ton truckload of reloading "stuff". I have thoroughly enjoyed reloading, casting, shooting for close to 60 years and still do something associated to reloading, casting, etc. nearly every day.

Do you mean the Lee Loader as many have suggested here or do you mean that Lee Reloading Kit? The reloading kits have a single stage press and then you buy the dies to reload any cartridge you want, I would suggest going with the Lee Reloading Kit, the press is decent and will last a long time for hunting and target shooting purposes, I still have and use the same one I got 25 years ago.

I believe Lee dies are small base dies, I load for a 7600 in 3006 with the Lee dies and have not had a problem loading the reloaded ammo.

Reloaded 150 grain BTSP’s outta my 760 REM quasi carbine (20” bbl) they run 2850 fps.

I also load 185 grain Lapua Mega’s to 2660 fps, and 220 grain Win PP’s to 2380 fps.

Scoped up with a 4200 Bushnell 1.5-6x32 scope, she’s one heck of a game getter!
