Fellow CGN'ers, I am intrested in learning how to reload 9mm rounds. As a total newbie when it comes to reloading, could some of you old hands recommend some manuals to read. With so many out there, I figured I asked the guys who do it regularly. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Well as a new reloader myself, I bought the Lee Breach Lock Challenger Kit and the Lee Handloader manual.

I have not regretted either purcase.

Most of the manuals are good, they all show the basic reloading process plus include data for most cartridges. I think that the Lyman one is a pretty good one to start with, but I also like the Nosler and Hornady manuals. Reloading is pretty simple once you learn how to do it. Here are the basic steps:

The Lee manual is good. The book "ABC of reloading" is very good too. You will find many sources on the net, like powder or bullet companies, that offer data.

Lyman and ABC here also. I also have the Lee Anniversary Reloading KIT. Comes with everything you need for reloading. You just need to buy the dies and other equipment that is caliber specific. Good luck and have fun.

Purchase a number of manuals. Each comes at its data from a slightly different angle and its often worthwhile being able to compare one set of data to another. Once you begin to handload for one cartridge it won't be long before you are loading others.

If you could find someone who lives nearby to show you the ropes, you'll be amazed how easy the basic procedure is.
