and I am assuming sunray is kidding when he says won't save money as i have figured you could reload 38's for about 5-6 bucks a box

If you use the cheapest components available you can save some money but I find the savings drop quickly as you start using better bullets plus I value my time and spending a few hours at the reloading bench is a cost of not getting other things done. Usually I'll just take an afternoon every month or two and spend a couple hours prepping brass or loading brass I prepped in a previous sitting. I usually do up 9mm or 45auto in batches of 500.
