Hello, I think this is the right forum. I recently sold my 45-70 Handi Rifle, I love the caliber but I really want to get full potential out of handloads, I really don't mind recoil and I know a bear is just as dead if the bullet is going 300 fps slower but, I want to be able to make ridiculous loads and really can't explain why. So right now I'm torn between a GG or and a Ruger #1 I would like to have a decent chance at a follow up shot but I hear that the Ruger can handle a lot higher pressures. So how hot of loads can each gun handle and is there a repeater with the strength of a #1?
