Reloading for rem700 tactical in .223

Anyone have this rifle and reload? What bullet weights and powders are you finding most accurate? Any info would be great

Whats the twist on that model? I didn't have a tactical, but my 700 5R with a 1:9 shot the 69 grain sierra matchking quite accurately. I was even able to stabalize the 75 grain eld-M in it. Both loads utilized varget powder, Nosler brass, and cci small rifle primers.

69 gr SMK, Lapua brass, CCI small rifle primers (BR if you can find them). Varget, BL-C(2), IMR 8208 XBR. Your gun will tell you which powder if you pay to play.

Both my 223 tactical and 5r, shoot decent with 68g hornady bthp and bl-c2, I throw charges on my Dillon and use range brass and get sub moa results past 600y!

The 1-9 twist will stabilize 69-75gr bullets, but they will be marginal and the BC will be reduced as a result. I'd try 60gr tipped matchkings.

for 100 and 200 hards my L.T.R. shot the lighter 52-55grn match really good, but anything over 200 yards i would shoot 68-75grn bullets. Mostly of the hornady variety with som match burners and burger bullets.

I shoot anything up to 75 grain match bullets in my .223's with no issues with either Varget or IMR4895

Mine has the 1x9 twist - the Nosler 60 gr Ballistic Tip works great and so does the Sierra 77 gr HPBT using RL15.

I liked the 69 TMKs varget and CCI 450s

It was my favorite for yote fur too

75 grain Hornady BTHP Match , 24.5 Varget , BR4 , Lapua or Starline brass typically shoots under 1/2 MOA out to 600M in low wind .

Mine was one of the easiest rifles i've loaded for it shot eveything quite well. 69 SMK's and Varget, 60 gr VMax and CFE223, 55 SPSX Hornday and CFE. All 1/2-3/4MOA I've been trying to get some bulk 68 gr BHTP Hornady's but haven't any luck, they are a little cheaper and have better BC than the SMKs and i think will be the ticket for something longer range capable.

Try 4064, my sps tactical shoots 68 bthp's pretty well with it.
