So notice in Hornady Volume 10 for 9mm Luger 115 gr XTP with Tightgroup as starting at 3.7 gr to max of 4.1 gr of Tightgoup.
The Richard Lee Second Edition list 115 gr XTPi starting at 4.5 gr to max of 4.8 gr of Tightgroup.
Hodgdon site lists 115 gr bullets 4.5 gr to 4.8 gr of Tightgroup.
Why the low data in the Hornady Manual? The max in Hornady is lower than the starting point of Lee Manual and Hodgdon site.

Because the Hornady #10 manual lists three different type bullets for that bullet weight load.

For some reason the HAP bullets develop higher pressures in other manuals and have lighter loads.

Meaning look in several manuals and average the load data.

I'm running Linux on my computers and can't run my Quickload program to confirm the data for the HAP bullet.

The Lyman 50th Edition list the following.

Hornady HP/XTP #35540, 115 gr Titegroup Start 4.0 and 4.5 Max

Barnes TAC-XP #30442, 115 gr Titegroup Start 3.9 and 4.3 Max

Hodgdon's Manual

Speer Gold Dot 115 gr Titegroup Start 4.5 and 4.8 Max

Remember, chambers and bores can vary in size and jacket and lead cores can vary in thickness and hardness. Meaning no two manuals will be the same or the firearms they did their testing with. And "why" the manuals tell you to start low and work up looking for signs of excessive pressure.

NOTE, the Speer #10 manual has a chapter on "Why Ballisticians Get Gray Hair" and list 30 different .357 revolvers and rifles with barrel lengths from 2 1/2 to 24 inches. And the 6 inch revolvers vary from 1227 fps to 1603 fps with the same ammunition. So nothing is written in stone with different manuals and firearms.

I find personally to use an average load from different sources, and load a few then increase/decrease accordingly to get the speed wanted.

but mostly trust the Hodgeon site. Chronograph is your friend
