Can the cheap/surplus Norinco 7.62x51mm brass reloaded?

The cases have "C", "J" and "93" stamped on the base, and the primers look pressed in differently than does my regular commercial stuff.

I've got some empty casings kicking around, and a few hundred rounds still to go, so if I can reload it, I'll make sure to keep all my brass.

Unlikely - I believe the Norinco brass is BERDAN primed - you need BOXER primed to reload.

You CAN reload berdan, but you need different equipment and primers - it's not worth the time.

Chuck em.

Look inside the case. If you see two small flash holes, the primers are Berdan. Lacking the big center flash hole of the Boxer case, the primer is PITA to get out.

I have to reload Berdan for my 8x60R. The primers are not crimped, so I can get them out with a sharp pry tool. Much more tedious than a decapping pin on a die.

The full answer to your question is "Yes, it could be done but you would never want to." The brass is scrap.
