Has anybody reloaded .25? I got the old berdan primer out end tried to press small pistol primer, but the anvil seems to be in the way. I finally was able to seat the primer very carefully in, loaded the gun without a bullet in the cartridge, pulled the trigger and it worked.But I'm afraid to prime more, that they would explode seating them over the anvil.

Why would you even try to put a boxer primer in a berdan case ?
Because some guy has done it with 7.62x39 steel cases. And I have over 500 of spent berdan primed 6.35 cases.

There plenty of vids showing how to reload berdan.
Fill the fired case with water, then use a dowel and hammer to blow the old primer out with hydraulic pressure. Use a pin to pry the anvils out of your boxer primers, then seat them as usual.
A lot of work, but sometimes overcoming little challenges like that is half the fun...
