hi ive only been reloading for about 6months and have shot around 100 reloads with no problem . until yesterday was outon range with my same reminton model 700 243 cal i had a few bullets 105 grain i bought at a gun show and the very first round when i went to pull the bolt down loading was real stiff i then went to eject it and without firing the round had a real problem ejecting so stiff that i thought i may not get it out . did get it out and no real visible marks on the brass just scratches on the spritzer105 grain bullet so i try another brass same thing real stiff i shoot it off then had a hell of a time ejecting bolt did not want to come up so tonite i usue different brass and put 100 grain soft point bullets in no powder or primer to see if the gun will be stiff same thing and before i never haad a problem with these brass or bullets so i seat the bullet total length brass and bullet from 2.71 in to 2.65 and it still stiff. any ideas on what is wrong is it my rifle or what seems to be the problem i have no factory ammo to try. thanks for you help
 
Your overall length with the 105's is having the bullets jam right into the lands.
Try seating a bullet in an unprimed case, try to chamber the dummy cartridge, then turn the seating stem in 1/4 of a turn and repeat till the dummy round chambers smoothly. Then turn the seater about 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn further in.
Also remember to back your load off and start load development over again, any change in components or dimensions will change the pressure in your load.

someone elses handloads? Check to see if the brass tapers the same way yours does. If the guy set up his dies incorrectly, he might have changed the neck profile of the case. I know this from my own mistake with the .243. First few rounds I tried to chamber didnt fit. This was because my die was incorrectly set.

If you are talking about " bullet only" then it is your COL that is the problem. Trim your brass and get it all looking good, then look at the data for that round and double check that you have it seating to the right depth. Sounds like your long right now.

If your bullets were too long I think the bullet would be just pushed back into the case, and now you have experienced the same problem with both 100 and 105 gr bullets. I'm willing to bet that you have not full length resized, or your resizing die is not properly adjusted, and all you need to do is set the shoulder of the case back. What kind of loading tools do you use?
