reloading unknown brass...

Some 38 sp nickel plated brass was given to me.
My experience with nickel plated brass is it splits lengthwise.

The head stamp says:

38 spl
S&W
and a pair of dots on each side

I have about 600 of them.

I guess it is once fired cheap stuff.

Anybody know what kind it is?

I did a search on Google once for cartridge headstamps, and came up with a site that had hundreds of them, broken down by country.

I don't have the URL anymore, but you should succeed if you search. I discovered that the oddball 45ACP I got from a friend was Chinese...
