My step-dad has a couple of 12ga's he would like to sell and I was hoping someone out there could provide some info as to value etc.

First one is a Remington 11-48 serial no. 5042###. Has some freckeling but is overall pretty good.

Second is a Western Field, Mongomery Ward model 31, serial no. U 27###. This gun has been nicely re-blued and has a new stock. Browning Patent stamped on the barrel.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, MM

A Western Field Model 31 is a Savage Model 620. Not that it helps much.
"...some freckling..." As it rust? Take it off with 0000 steel wool and some oil.

Because Browning sold the Patent to Savage so they could build the gun just like he Did with the Win .94. The rem Model 11 The Ithaca 37 Browning was a Engineer not a Manufacture. If it wasn't John Browning we would have very few guns today as we know them . He was a Genius also a heavy drinker .
