Rem 1100 loading problem

I’ve got an 1100 that isn’t cycling properly. When fired with shells in the magazine the bolt locks open as it would if I had fired the last shell. The next shell is out of the mag ready to be elevated into the chamber but bolt locks open. Any ideas? I’ve given it a complete disassembly cleaning and tried a new o ring. Thanks.

It is likely the carrier latch. It may have become slightly bent or had the tab broken off. Replacements are the cure in most cases.
