Rem 1100 O-Rings?

Could be the piston or seal as well. (the metal pieces under the "O" ring.) Check and see if they are corroded. If they are in good shape then most likely just the "O" ring is tired as you have suggested. 12 gauge? If you can't locate one locally send me a private memo and I will mail one out to you.
 
You can use standard o-rings available at any hardware or auto parts store. They may not last as long as Remington o-rings, but they cost 1/20 of the originals.
