o.k. all you remington 1100 owners, what are the problem areas on this classic?
what parts break? what needs tweeking? what should be avoided? what should be switched out for improved aftermarket?
all advice appreciated (except "buy a benelli") :bsFlag:

thanx!

Buy a Mossberg 930. My issue was not functioning with the cheap wal-mart ammo. And no,I didn't want to drill out the gas holes in the barrel. Lets face it your never gonna use it in a "tactical situation" this is Canada we are not about to implode or explode. So I'm not gonna dump alot of cash into double ought buck and slugs just to shoot paper and the odd pumpkin. But they are a lot of fun when your blasting as fast as you can pull the trigger.

Main springs behind the action need replacing. I have 2. I love them both but they don't reliably cycle my light skeet loads. They hate the cold and must be right clean and lubed up. I don't hunt with them but to have a lot of fun and use them to get new ppl into sport shooting. On warm summer days they run decent. I shoot with a guy that has 2. 1 cycles only 1 round and he's tried everything. His other one functions flawlessly even with lighter loads. Its unstoppable. They are good guns afterall is said and done
