Anyone know of a place in Canada that might have a left hand trigger plate for the Rem 1100 12 Gauge?

Will also like info on the right hand as well. If I cant find a left hand I will get the right.

I would prefer to order in Canada as I need this in the next 8 or 9 days. Thanks for the help.

Thanks, I have already emailed Gravel. I am just waiting for a reply.

It might be able to be repaired but It is not worth it, you can get trigger plates from brownells for $103. The gunsmiths around here will charge $50 just to look at it. And I am under some time pressure, I was invited to shoot shotguns in a week or so and I have been putting of this repair until now

I was hope someone on CGN would know of a super secret stash of Rem 1100 parts some where;)

I cant get it to cycle properly. It will load from the mag fine on the first round, extract the hull, the next round will leave the mag and make to the lifter and that is it. It wont lift the round to the chamber and chamber it. So it is a single shot right now.

Any thing I should try?, I am new to the 1100 platform.

It was a gun that had not been treated well, I only paid $250 for it.

Take the trigger group out and check for cleanliness.

When the shell comes out of the mag it has some force, the base of the shell hits the carrier latch and moves it rearward off of the carrier.

The carrier dog is engaged with the Action Bar Assembly and when the carrier is released from the carrier latch the bolt moves forward. The Action Bar Assembly moves forward and pushes on the carrier dog, the pushing causes the carrier to pivot and raise the shell upwards.

Check that the carrier latch can actually be released and that the carrier pivots upwards freely. I also find that the magazine becomes quite dirty. The magazine spring itself becomes weak, when weak it may not have the strength to send the shell rearward with enough force to trip the carrier latch. If you can compare the force of the spring with any new shotgun for comparison, do it, just push on it with your finger. No need to disassemble.
