I've got to have one, but no-one who stocks them seems to ship to Canada.

It's the Boyds #ROSS-REM-597-PL-F

Aside from shipping to a US address and then to Canada, is anyone aware of a supplier either in Canada or who ships here?
 
Same here, those tupperware stocks just don't compare to the laminate, Been looking for a while. Any place that I founf that would send stock doesn't inlet for the 597(ie Richardsons microfit).

Hope someone can be of aid.
 
I just received a beautiful 10/22 Boyds Evolution Apple jack stock from mikes.stocks off of ebay. I know he does do some Remi 597 stocks. You should check him out. When you got to his "store" on ebay it says that he won't ship to Canada. He does for $25, it's just that ebay won't allow him to say that he does.

He takes the unfinished stocks and finishes them. I could not be happier with mine. It looks and feels amazing.

I contacted "Mike" and unfortunately he does not carry the particular one I want. I can say that I am very favourably impressed by him and he does does a good selection of 10/22 and 597 stocks. If I ever want to go wild with a stock, he'd be the guy.

Call Boyd's directly, if they have them in stock, they can send it to you as long as it is under the $100 limit. Usually in unfinished form they are under $100, and they can send it to you. Some sanding and finish and you'll be done. This week they had 10/22 Barracuda's on sale finished for $99, can't beat that. Later.
 
mikes.stocks on Ebay seems to have stocks in different colors at different times. I had to wait until the one I wanted came up but it was / is beautiful and worth every cent. Definitely worth a look for anyone wanting a Boyds stock for a reasonable price.
 
Except that he doesn't sell stocks for the Rem 597, including the stock that is the topic of this thread.....
 
:D It has very good fit and finish, but I will eventually bed it. The barrel channel allows for the barrel to free float and/or accomodate a bull barrel.

I replaced the hammer with a Volquartson Target Hammer (from Rimfirecentral), and the already nice crisp trigger pull was improved and is now at 3 lbs from 5 lbs.
