I was at the store today looking for a 300 win mag in a 700. They had one with a laminated thumb hole stock, ss fluted barel and detachable mag. I'm probably going to pick it up tommorow. I'm wondering if anyone knows what year this was made because I can't find it on the remington site. Btw it was nib.

How do you like it? What kind of price range did you have to pay? If the guy above was correct than yours is not DM. Also from what i can see its a non fluted barrel?
So I bought my Remington 700 in 300 WM. I must say it's a beautiful gun with it's SS reciever and fluted barrel, jeweled bolt, X-pro trigger, detachable mag, and brown thumb hole stock. Not to mention ALL factory Remington. I will post pictures later this week. Now to decide on what Leupold glass to put on it. Right now I'm thinking VX-3 L 4.5x14x56 possibly with the illuminated reticule. Any suggestions would be greatly appresiated.
