6.5x55mm
I like the looks of the Win 70 Featherweight in 6.5x55mm, too. And actually that rifle was my first introduction to the cartridge. A friend had/has one in it. And his is very accurate, too.
Never been able to find one myself, though...
I did originally go the route of sporterizing a M96 Swede but found it wasn't quite what I was looking for either. Then I lucked onto a NIB Ruger 77 MkII in it ~ 1994.
At one point I had the Ruger and a Tikka 695 stainless/synthetic [which I still have]. Then the Rem 700 Classic in 6.5x55mm came along a few years back, so I sadly parted with the Ruger.
The 6.5x55mm is a real fine cartridge...
