Rem 700 action

How much is a Remington 700 action worth (300 H&H) ?
I shot the barrel out, might just part her out or re-barrel.
HS Precision stock on her too.

Blued mag action $450.00, $500.00 on a good day.I think there is a 300 wm barrel on the ee now $110.00.That is the way to go.

I know of three fellows who bought sps for building new customs. sell barrels for $100+or- stocks get very little maybe $50 for trigger net action cost them $500 to 550 and they are no where near as nice as action yours is Charlie or as nice a action on older 60s to 80s 700s

Spend $150 and have the action trued and install a new barrel... the HS stock should work...

Thanks . I have decided to re-barrel her. Ordered a Gaillard for it. Going to chamber in 300 WBY, 26" flutted in the HS stock. Going to be my elk rifle. I have dies, brass and a truck load of bullets to feed her.
I thought it would be nice to have a gun with a barrel from my relative. Going to have Del Selins in Vernon put her together for me. Can't wait for elk season.

BassPro and LeBaron frequently sell new SPS 700s for $550.

For a SPS to be compared to a Classic 700 action is to compare a pre-64 Model 70 to a late 90's model 70 CRF. Nice but not the same thing. That action is worth not a penny less than $500 in good condition. Why waste it though; get a new CM Shilen for less than $300 from Mysticplayer and send it the Guntech. It'll be the best 600 you spent in awhile.....

Certainly won't argue with your choice, but personally, 300 Weatherby would be the last big 30 I would chamber for. But to each his own!! Eagleye.

I had an H&H for 23 yrs, owned the Winchester and Weatherby also, I have 300 fresh Hornady brass for the WBY and dies. I am going to push a 200 gr Accubond @ 3000fps out of her for elk.
