I got this project gun recently from an elder gentlemen, it was he's project f-class gun before he gave up on it.
I did some modifications to the stock, still some things I would like to change.

The single shot loader adapter plate - I think this one is in the mag delete right now:

I don't like it. When I am loading the bolt slowly I can feel it like the bullet nose is not raising enough to slide in smoothly or catching some edge, I need toopen the bolt and remove-insert again. When I move the bolt faster single stroke = no problem at all.

Reading online based on my keywords, there are several other styles of followers, glue in or abs or machined...
Which "brand" would you recommend? or better where to look for these (in Canada)?

p.s.
My next question will be the trigger...I don't like that neither :)

Sometimes the single shot adapter requires deeper machining at the rear area to allow the back of the cartridge to drop a bit more causing the tip of the bullet to rise.

There are many triggers available for a 700 platform. Even an original 700 trigger can be adjusted or reworked to be quite light and crisp for considerably less than a replacement.

Many rifles that have been converted from repeater action and some actions that are made a single shots have the same problems feeding. I had a 40X that did the same thing and a Remington 700 in .223 that is even worse for single feeding. However if you drop the round into the loading port and push it slightly forward to start it into the chamber, no problems. My Barnard and Paramount rifles are the same way but the Paramount is a slightly more PITA because the loading port is smaller. The Millennium action that I own will feed the round no problems if you just drop the round into the loading port and tilt the rifle slightly left. Or like all the others just push the round forward and start into the chamber.

I had to do some zeroing last weekend, the rain ruined my numbers, so today back to the range again to finish it. I've shot a total of 52 rounds, from that number about five or six I needed to play with loading.
