Rem 700 Heavy Barrel

Just wondering what the twist rate of a Rem 700 Heavy barrel 22 250 is ????????.

The standard twist for a 22-250 is 1 in 14. Remingtons webpage show that is what they use:

Is that 1-14 twist used in all models of Rem rifles,even the older models in a 700 or even a 788???

It has been the standard twist for decades. I used to rebarrel them with a 12 twist so the 60 grain bullets would work better but with todays choice of bullets you need a custom barrel if you want to use the heavier ones.

If you have one and are wondering what it is - use a tight patch and a cleaning rod to determine how far the rod travels with one rotation.
