Rem 700 Long Range

Great rifle, a buddy of mine bought one in 30-06 and bone stock...no bedding or trigger job yet, and it shoots easily under 3/4 MOA and he has had a few groups in the 0.4MOA range. I hope you find one.

In all honesty, get a savage. All around better rifle. If your dead set on one, then Cabelas might have em still.

Picked one up from LeBaron. Pricing was great.

Looks to be a pretty nice rifle for the $$. I really like the look of it.

Needs a scope and then it's off to the range to see how it shoots.

I would make sure inspect it thoroughly. The magnum 700s with the riveted extractors seem like a very weak design.

How're you liking the rifle?

Funny you should ask. I still haven't picked up a scope for it yet! Got distracted with scuba diving this summer. :d

I've replaced the trigger with a TriggerTech and added a rail, rings, bipod, and an oversized bolt knob.

Thinking about a muzzle brake as well. Might try the Spatha threadless.

I've been looking at scopes lately, so I hope to have it out to the range soon.

Not likely!! The Savages generally shoot OK, but better all round???

Where this drivel comes from is beyond me. The Remington design is just fine.

Dave.
