Hey all,
I was checking out remington's website and found this : http://www.remingtonle.com/rifles/700pltrtws.htm
Wondering what the price of this sweet little package would be and if the "ingredients" are up to the task ( not world championship, just nice informal mid-long range shooting (600m or so )). Do you guys think it is worth it to buy the system or just to put together your own?
 
Kinda new to precision rifles, so very few knowledge of what I should buy or not. Still, is this a good deal or a steal? What could I expect out of this?
 
Pretty good package, but you could assemble all the parts for less $$$. Remington tends to charge a premium for their package deals. I would also try to seek someone out who already has an LTR. They seem to be a love-hate proposition. I just can't get comfortable with the stock- but others really like it. The rifle can also be really jumpy, thanks to the short barrel, stock design, and the rifle's over all light weight.
