Rem 700 LV SF

I got one and it shoots very well but like most of the Rem 700s I have had it had a long throat. I ended up sending it in to the gunsmith to get the action trued, chamber re-cut, bbl recrowned, and replaced the trigger and firing pin with aftermarket parts. There really was nothing wrong with mine stock but it just has all the "go faster" parts. I also changed it to a BDL as ADL are ghey. Here is a pic of mine.

I am getting around .5" at 100m with a .221 Rem Fireball. Sometimes a little more somedays a little less.

Funny you should ask. I just purchased a Remington LVSF in .223 several weeks ago. I got this on my second box of factory ammo.

I'm hoping to do even better when I start hand loading, but I think this shows the gun's accuracy potential.

Here is a picture of my gun

Actually, they had matching rings, but they did NOT have matching bases. So, I thought I would stay with blue throughout the mounting system, with the action, barrel and scope being silver. Rather nice, nicht wahr? It looks like it should be leaned up against the wall behind the door of a Fench hoorhouse.

Not that I'd know what a French hoorhouse looked like.

I've never been to France.

for a few years I owned a LVSF 223

with 55 grain Ballistic Tips, it would shoot 5 shot groups around moa average, @ 3250 fps

once I sent the stock to Gatehouse for paint, it became even more deadly

I wouldn't mind a 22-250 LVSF

Tod,

Can't believe you gave up your LVSF. Modified it is one of the best designed hunting rifles in the Remington line up. Never understood the ADL thing...

I have one in 7-08 with a McMillan stock (BDL Config). Nice carrying rifle, good shooter, not exceptional but havent played much with handloads with this one yet. With factory 140 NP's its shooting around 1.25-1.5MOA on average....

Good shooting gun.....I just hope the itch doesnt make me want to sell it...haha...

Needs a bedding job and a minor trigger tune up....might swap it for a Shilen if I get bored with the factory one....
