I was wondering if anyone could provide me with a rough ( -+ 0.015 ) distance between the center of the bore and top of the receiver ?

well, the receiver is nominally 1-3/8" od, so half of that is .6875...or 11/16"

rembo, thanks for the fast reply, i didn't have an unassembled action and was trying to guess the total distance so i could print off some dope sheets for tomorrow
