I have read it is possible to convert a hinged floor plate, wsm model sps700 to a single stack instead of staggered.
I do not mean a complete bottom metal swap with detach mag.
If I understand properly a wyatt internal box will do this, yes I see I will need some machining, and will lose 1 round of capacity.
I would like to keep the hinged floor plate but have straight feed, am I on the right track?
Thanks in advance,
Leslie.

IMHO you are cutting off your nose to spite your face.

If your rifle is feeding well why would you want to go backwards? Have you used any single stack systems??? There were a lot of them made in both lever action as well as bolt action for both military and civilian use. They all incorporated systems that could give problems. The Soviets along with their satellite's used a single stack system that took decades to get right. Early Mausers also utilized single stack systems but when Mauser as well as Lee came out with staggered systems the riflemen of the world rejoiced and for good reason.

If you are having feeding issues then take your rifle to a gunsmith or carefully fix its issues until it does what you want.

I put a Wyatt magazine box in my wife's rifle albeit the staggered box model as I needed a longer magazine to hold use the bullets her gun liked best but it was a bear to get to feed correctly. The center feed would probably have fewer problems but would probably still need some tweaking. By the way what is your reasoning for putting in a center feed magazine?

the issue in feeding a WSM pig is the sharp shoulder fat body and skinny case neck combination. going from a double stack to a single stack feeding means isn't going to change the fact that often the ammo is the culprit. For more reliable feeding, try a different magazine spring, one with more tension to lift the front of the follower a bit higher, or by adjusting the one in your rifle already.

I was under the assumption some of the issue was in the staggered feed, I will take your advice, thanks much!
