With the cost of the Rem 700 SPS vs the Bdl or even a used Bdl for that matter, is there any reason why not to use an SPS model action for a custom project. Is there any difference in the actions themselves or is it just simply a cheap stock on a standard rem 700 action.
At least with a new gun vs used, some cost can be recovered by selling the new barrrel and the stock if need be. Looking for any advise or better yet someone who has actually used an SPS for a custom project.
