Are Rem 700 LA stock same as a magnum stock?

Yes.

The 300WM is chambered in the Rem 700 receiver.

It may not be a drop in fit though, especially if it's an old and beaten used stock, but nothing that can't be handled easily with a bit of bedding compound.

They are the same except that the magnums tend to have a larger diameter barrel.

All LA Rem M700 are interchangeable OTHER then std Barrel diameter for non Mag cartridges and then theres the Magnum cartridge barrel stock and then there is the Mountain rifle stock for the Pencil barrel ! RJ

The plastic magnum stock has the word Magnum formed into the stock.
