I pulled a couple barrels today...one was a stainless 700 in 270.....I thought the barrel was kinda sloppy after it broke loose...turns out it measures 1.025" on the chamber end tapering up to the proper 1.06" just behind the recoil lug, it looks like a 3/4" pipe thread
....that's the loosest one I've ever seen.....that's a whole .035" undersize.......this is a good one to put into a Model 70 or Ruger
