I just purchased a vls in .22-250 and would like to replace the factory laminated stock for a synthetic. Would a bdl stock match? I would like to get something in a varmint profile or even a tactical variation. If any one could steer me in the right direction it would be apprieciated.

I think you are going backwards... the VLS is a beautiful stock. Solid, stable, feels good, looks good...

i also have a 700 in a VLS stock and i need to raise my head to get a proper sight picture, im using leupold STD rings and base and its not low enough and i cant go any lower, a new scope is only going to put it higher 40mm to 50mm objective lens.

This is my VLS modified cheek riser and store bought cheek pad.

Don't get me wrong I like the laminted wood, I just don't want to tear the shi$ out of it when I'm coyote hunting. I have a blackhawk stock pouch. I was thinking of a hs presicion varmint stock or somthing along those lines.
