Rem 700 Vs H-s Precision

Finally got to handle an H-S at the Calgary gun show in 22-250,and was quite impressed with it but I'm not sure it's worth the extra over a remy vsf! Does anybody have any experience with either or both? Going to be used as my main varmit rifle!

for the price, I think a guy would be miles ahead with the model 700, and a pocketful of $$ left to buy aftermarket goodies

H-S Precision

Another way to look at the comparison is that with the H-S Precision, you may spend more at the outset, but you may also wind up with the equivalent of the tricked-out Remington right from the box, at the same cost in the end. Depends whether you want to manage a project and tinker and build or just buy, load and shoot. Another advantage to the H-S rifle is that it may retain it's value better.

I have the 700VSF, the stock is an H-S. If that's what grabbed you the most...well, draw your own conclusion.
