Can anyone with a Rem 700LTR answer a couple questions for me, specifically what size of screws they are threaded for with regards to bases or rails, is it a #6-48 or a #8-40 thread pitch?

Is there a drop in detachable mag conversion for the HS Precision stock aside from the HS offering? I was watching a YouTube video and the Legacy Sports kit seemed to drop in with no inletting required, can anyone confirm this?

Thanks.

When I built mine I used the HS fully adjustable stock and HS DM mag kit. The DM kit fit perfectly. It’s made for the stock. I sold it. I think someone on the board owns it.

The only reason I’m thinking of trying the Legacy Sports kit is I have it on my Howa and it works and has held up well, at the least I’ll have more mags for the Howa if I decide to go back to the hinged floor plate.

Here’s the one video I found with the HS Precision stock and the Legacy kit, seems like a drop in fit.

The legacy sports kit will drop right in. I tried one but it left a little to be desired with the feel/ quality. They might work fine just wasn't for me. But no issues dropping right in. You already have one on your howa, so probably not an issue for you.

Check out pacific tool and gauge for an all metal bottom metal that takes AI mags. I believe they might have a drop in version as well as one that requires inletting.

Thanks, will check out PT&G. I would prefer metal over plastic but have had no issues with function or durability on my Howa which gets hunted with and not babied.

I think the kwik klip setup will drop in to the BDL inlet.

A trip to one of the reputable gunsmiths in your general area could have them inlet the bottom for an M5 pattern AICS compatible mag system and I don't think it'd cost you much.
