Yeah it’s a bastard size and you have to make a wrench. I forget the size that you have to start with but suffice to say you start with a wrench one size to small and open it up a bit with a grinder. You then have to grind the outside of the wrench jaws a bit so that it will clear the slide bars. I have made a couple dozen over the years and its simple to do. After completion the wrench will only turn the nut 1/8 or so of a turn before the jaws jam in the slide bars but it’s enough to get the nut started so that you can turn it off with your fingers. I asked one of guys at the plant why they used that size and he replied “I suppose the engineers that designed it needed a nut and they happened to have a box full of that size so that’s what it became”. It seemed like a reasonable answer to me. Rod
