Rem 740 Open Sights/Scope Pics

I got some new rings as the medium height Weaver ones didn't fit. The ones that came were a different style than what I had though (these are the see through). Getting tired of waiting for them, so these will do, plus it'll be nice to have the open sights available.

Only problem is, there is no way to adjust the sights up and down. On my Model 94, there's a little "step" thing that pushes in underneath that adjusts it, I assume it's similar for this?

Also, on the 3rd pic where the screwdriver is pointed, that piece is pretty loose (swivels forward and back). Any ideas on how I could firm that up?

Your missing the elevator that slides inside of the sight body.
You should be able to pick one up from a smith/brownells.

How about an aerial view of that sight?
I'm sure Maddog will recognize it imediatlely, and probably has ten or so :roll:
But the rest of us need a better pic.
I have a fold down rear sight on my 99, and it took me a year before I noticed a tiny bit of the base was broken off, and that's why it was wobbly.

I'll hit the smith as a last resort. I needed the small screw that secures the front band on a Win Mod94, the guy wanted 20 bucks for it :roll:
I'll keep Brownells in mind too, good idea

Unfortunately, I need this one
