Rem 788 Stock

Not many custom stocks for 788's around. Ramline makes a synthetic for the 788 in 6mm. Black only. Epp's is a Ramline dealer. They might have something that's of higher quality too.
Otherwise, you are looking at an expensive cu$tom made stock. Likely cost more than the rifle is worth. Not much 788 aftermarket stuff around these days.

contact RR on here.

Rich is making me up a custom stock for a 788 and will thereafter have the pattern. It's not cheap, but it sure as hell is GORGEOUS! :D

Boyds is haveing another one of their weekend sales right now. Semi-inlet laminate stocks for a 788 are about $70, and they ship to Canada on items less than $100.
More interesting to me was the pile of finished right to the sling swivels JRS stocks for $99.99, but I think those are for everything but the 788.

Just further on the Ramline stocks..... Many years ago I picked up a Rem 788 factory carbine [18 1/2" barrel] in 7mm-08. The stock was rather beaten up. So, I ordered a Ramline black synthetic stock for it from Western Gun Parts. This was back in the day when the Ramlines came with a Pachmayr decellerator recoil pad installed.

Anyway, my barreled action dropped right in without any fuss or fitting required. I decided to try shooting it just as is to see how it did without any further alterations, additions, bedding etc. Well, it's an honest sub 1" at 100 yards shooter just as is. I'm 100% completely happy with the Ramline on it. Yes, they are not the prettiest stock and there is no bragging rights that come with them. But it "works".
