Hi all,

I want to add a bayonet to my rem 870 (just because i want, no other reason behind)

I started to look around for a cost-effective solution since my rem870 have a 26 inch barrel and no mag extension yet.

I dont want to spend 200$ on a mag extension and bayonet lug and have to spend another 200$ for a smaller barrel, then 80$ for the bayonet itself.

Is there any quick snap on and screw bayonet lug around ? (similar to something you attach a ligth on the barel of the shotgun)
I dont really expect the barrel to survive the use of the bayonet unscrached either.

In any case, I want to keep my 26 inch barrel. I dont care to add an cheap mag extension but i would like the overall cost be under 100$

For that price the only thing I can think of right now is this:

$84.95

Attach that to the barrel and grind off the top part so they're not sticking out. This should work but it might obscure your sight picture if you have bead sights unless you have or are going to install ghost ring sights.

I think that 84$ for that small metal part is crazy.... looking for a better solution.

If you want to get it just because, its gonna cost you. Short of having your own machine shop and doing it yourself, the next best solution might actually be the duct tape. :p

You can buy a new remington 870 express with +2 mag tube for 400$.
Our products are exspensive because they are very well made, with a 100% lifetime warrentee.
Allso if you looking for a bayonet mounts for the rem 870 we are the only one in the world the makes one at this time.
Trust me you will be very happy with how its made.

Well, I won't disagree with BBB (simply because I haven't used their gear), but if you want cheap, and slightly better than duct tape, get a ring/hose clamp, spray paint it black, and find some way to move the bayonet clear of the barrel... Total cost: $0.79, plus whatever spray paint and pieces of wood shim you have laying around.

I think if you clamp it on hard enough, it'll work as a bayonet, but it won't look pretty. If you want to actually be tactical on the cheap, instead of "tacti-can't", try looking around at old mil-surp bayonet mounts, and just figure out some way to clamp them to your barrel. If you're not willing to take the time to test it out, you might just have to buckle down and buy a proper mount. The EE might have what you're looking for, at a cheaper price than new, but you'll still have to pay a bit for anything decent. Or just carry a knife on your belt.
