Make sure you remove dimples in the mag tube, if you have them, otherwise extension will not work

For a 20'' barrel, what's the general consensus, +1, +2, or +3? Does the extra weight out front of +3 make it unwieldy?

I got 18 inch barrel and +3 on my Rem 870, works fine, no complaints, feels nice and comfortable. With 18 inch and +3 extension tube, the tube is slightly longer, but with 20 inch, barrel should be a little longer.

As for extra weight, depends on how strong or big you are.
