A quick question (or two) concerning shotgun night sights...

Where/who, in Canada, would you deal with for set of tritium rifle sights for a Rem 870 shotgun?

I'm looking to upgrade the bead on my Grizz with something slightly more accurate.
I was leaning towards a set of open sights, as opposed to the VCS ghost ring set I have on another gun, in order to minimize the profile as much as possible...
Although I have all the time in the world for VCS kit, I want a system which will enable me to crack off snap shots without the need for a full "front post trap/acquisition", hence my interested in an "open" or "V" type rear aperture.

Tried my luck ordering through Optics Planet, but we all know how that goes...
Brownell's wouldn't ship Tritium outta country either.
Cabellas (.ca) has a few Tru-Glo add-ons, but nothing I'm interested in...

Any/all suggestions (on possible canadian retailers) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a bunch!

Speak to Casey at Tactical Ordnance in Ontario. Or PM "Arwen Ace" on this forum. He is top notch in service, prices and customer service. You won't be dissapointed.

I suggest you first read through the board of this forum. They have some very interesting alternatives for a fraction of the price. I'm planning to do this sometime this winter.

The admin who made this thread and write-up is very experienced with these things.

Here's the rest of the board for weapons sights.

Just an option you might consider. :)

On a side note, here's the forums Project Gallery. You can go through many projects by category in the left selection panel.

There are some really cool glow in the dark knives and amazing glow in the dark constellations worth checking out.

ADK...

Casey's awesome... Dealt with him a few times and always came out highly impressed. I second your opinion of TacOrd...
If all else fails, I'll hit him up with some queries...
Thanks for the reminder!

Sand Man...

Oddly enough, I just google searched my options for night sights only a day or two before you posted this. I stumbled on this forum completely by accident. To say the least, I fell in love right away.

The site Admin is one of the techs at Glow Inc. The company is a small up and coming business doing some very impressive research and development in the field of Glow in the Dark and Fluorescent paint.

I'll be ordering a half pint of Utra Green V10 and half a dozen ounces of various powders when my exams end. I'll do tests sometime later in December regarding brightness, color, functionality, and useful purposes for all their paints. I'll replicate their use on rifle sights, and see how well they perform. I'll also take a shot at making some GITD art.

If you do order some of their paints, be sure to keep us updated. :)

How cool is this?!?!?! (Glowinc. paint)
