870 Police Magnum with a 14" Did they make these in the 1990's. I remember somebody in my club who had one. It had walnut stocks and a 14" barrel.

Is this a restricted gun? Does anybody know if you can still get these?

thanks

totally unrestricted in Canada. (in the US, considered a class 3, same as a full auto). haven't seen the wooden stocked ones for along time- most have plastic furniture.

Remington isn't exporting them to Canada any more though. they come up for sale on th eBoard quite often. You can buy new 14, 12.5, 10 and 8.5 inch barrels from Dlask. Gun remains unrestricted as long as overall length is over 26 inches

They are non restricted, but REM LE does not sell these to civilians, these rules are especially strict in the states, and getting them imported to canada would be next to impossible.

There are some kicking around, but due to their rarity, they usually got for around the $900 mark. Dlask makes 12.5 and 14" barrels for the 870, going for $299 a peice. There is a Norinco model, the HP9-1 which is a pretty good 870 clone, with 14" barrel. This model also accepts REM 870 parts. I have one, and it is a fun lil gun. Available for $345 @ marstar. Here is mine, Krylon OD green, and Hogue overmolded 12" LOP stock set.

But if you want a higher end 14" shotgun, I'd strongly recommend the Fabarm Martial series. Here is my Fabarm Martial Pro Forces ($750 @ www.theshootingedge.com) :

Both these shotguns are a blast, also very handy for carrying in the bush.
