Rem 870 vs Weatherby PA-08 vs Mossy 500

Looking to buy a first shotty without breaking the bank and think Rem/Weatherby/Mossy may be the way to go. Question is - which one. Price is about the same and I am not over fussy regarding wood or synthetic.

Appreciate any thoughts - or suggestions of others not on this list.

I have no experience with the Weatherby but I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I have 2 870s ,one I purchased new in 1978 and another of the same vintage that I purchased used and both work like a charm. I've heard stories lately about Remington's lack of quality control but my experience has been positive.I've owned 1 Mossberg and it also was a reliable firearm. If you can maybe borrow one of each model from friends and try them out that might tell you which fits/suits you better. Good luck with your purchase.
